In the heart of Istanbul, a place with a story that means much more to us...

Dualis Hotel is located on Şehsuvar Bey Street, in Kadırga, one of the few neighbourhoods of Istanbul's Historic Peninsula where the character of the old city can still be felt.

But to us, this is much more than a hotel.

This is a part of our family's story.

The building was inherited by us from our father's family. For generations, it witnessed the lives of our family and became part of our shared memories. Today, it carries that story forward into a new chapter.

And today, as the fourth generation of our family, we have the privilege of welcoming guests into this very same building.

Four Generations, One Story

The walls of a building are made of more than stone and wood.

They hold the voices, memories, joys and stories of the people who have lived within them.

For our family, this building carries exactly that kind of meaning.

It creates an invisible connection between the memories passed down from our childhood and our elders, and the life we are building today.

Years after the members of our family who once lived here, we are opening the very same door to our guests.

A building that was once our family home has now become a home in Istanbul for people arriving from all around the world.

Perhaps this is what makes Dualis Hotel truly special to us.

Şehsuvar Bey Street

The street on which we stand carries its own story, just like our building.

The area surrounding Kadırga and Little Hagia Sophia is one of the most remarkable parts of Istanbul, shaped by layers of history stretching from the Byzantine era through the Ottoman period to the present day.

With its narrow streets, traditional wooden houses and historic neighbourhood character, the area still preserves glimpses of everyday life in old Istanbul.

As you walk through the streets today, every old house, stone wall and quiet corner feels like a small memory carried forward from Istanbul's past.

When we look at the old photograph above, we don't simply see an Istanbul that belongs to the past.

We see the Istanbul in which our family's story unfolded.

When we created Dualis Hotel, our aim was not simply to preserve this family heritage.

We wanted to keep it alive.

That is why hospitality here is more than a business to us; it is the continuation of a story passed down through generations of our family.

As the fourth generation, we open the doors of the same building, look out onto the same street, and have the privilege of witnessing new stories begin here.

Perhaps one day, a guest who stayed at Dualis Hotel will think back on Istanbul and remember Şehsuvar Bey Street.
